Hilldale Shops: Personified!

Aug 6th

If you’ve ever taken a stroll through Hilldale Shopping Center, you’ve seen the huge variety of stores and businesses that are available to the Madison community. Located just a few minutes away from Midvale Heights, Hilldale really does have something for everyone. We thought that we would change things up a little and give you some ideas of where to go based on your personality type.

Homebody.

When your home is your sanctuary, you know Wildewood and Anthropologie are your go-to’s for the essentials… and by essentials we mean house plants and candles! Head to Wildewood for high quality and unique houseplants along with the knowledge and tools to make sure they thrive once you leave the store. For the ultimate home scent, head to Anthropologie for their signature Volcano candles!

Fashion-forward.

If you feel naked without your favorite bracelet or ring, Willow and Weld and Kendra Scott are the shops for you! Plus, both have solid roots in Wisconsin! Kendra Scott is the perfect location for some iconic pieces to help you stand out in a crowd. If you’re someone who has a hard time keeping track of jewelry, you can head to Willow and Weld for a more permanent touch. As Madison’s original welded jewelry vendor you can choose to have a bracelet, anklet, or necklace welded onto you. That way, you never lose it!

Student.

As a student, we know how important it is to have your supplies and your fuel to get you through long study sessions, lectures, and homework. That’s why we bet you frequent the Apple Store, Paper Source, and of course, Crescendo Espresso Bar. The Apple Store will fulfill all of your tech needs, while Paper Source has super cute stationery options. And, let’s be real, all students need a coffee fix after those late night homework sessions. You can find more information about what makes Madison the perfect home for students here.

Fitness lover.

We think fitness and shopping are a perfect combination - especially at Hilldale! Fitness lovers will most likely be found shopping for workout clothes at Lululemon, gearing up for their class at CycleBar, then following it up with an açaí bowl, juice, or smoothie from Blended. Hilldale is a one-stop shop for anyone who loves to get moving!

Foodie.

In true Madison style, Hilldale has no shortage of restaurants, bakeries and cafes to satisfy the palate. BarTaco serves upscale street food with an unforgettable beach resort inspired aesthetic. Cafe Hollander transports you to the “Benelux” region of Belgium (the Netherlands and Luxembourg) for a European food experience. And Gigi’s Cupcakes rounds it all out with a selection of cupcakes, macaroons, cheesecakes, and more. If you’re hungry, you’ll find something to love at Hilldale.

Philanthropist.

Okay, this one might be a little bit more of a stretch. However, we know that more and more shoppers are looking to put their dollars in places that give back to the community. Metcalfe's Market is a great place to start. Perfect for any philanthropist, Meltcalfe’s mission is to serve the community and to support local producers. They are deeply intertwined with other local Madison organizations with similar missions to provide tools and resources to our neighborhoods. It’s no surprise that you’ll not only find great products there, but great people, too.

So there you have it, Hilldale by personality type!

Which one speaks to you?!
