Hey, book lovers! Are you ready to help spread the joy of reading to kids in Dane County?
We're teaming up with Madison Reading Project (MRP) for their 4th Annual Community Book Drive to help them give 15,000 books to kids.
We recently met with the passionate individuals behind MRP and were so inspired! This year alone, Madison Reading Project has already given out 100,000 books. They run a number of programs that serve kids and educators, including:
Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library in Dane County - a free program for kids aged birth to 5 who get a free book mailed to them every month.
Books for Educators - local educators go to their Book Center to shop for 25 free books for their classrooms (they currently work in all Madison school districts!)
Little Free Library - where they install and maintain mini-libraries in easy-to-access locations so the community has access to free books.
This giving season, we’re holding our community book drives and matching donations up to $1000! So, how can you help? You can donate new books for kids aged birth to 18, or make a monetary contribution; every little bit counts! Use this link to contribute to Team WMA and help us give back to our community.
Together, let’s help give every child that #NewBookFeeling this holiday season.
