We have such a fun one for you today! One of the things we love most about our community at High Point Commons is that there is so much green space for our residents to enjoy. To celebrate this, the HPC team created their very own Activity Book full of fun games and puzzles for the children of the community to complete! Activities include “spot the critter,” coloring pages, and word games. It’s the perfect tool to help the little ones in our community feel at home. Plus, it’s a great activity to do with friends and family.
Alex - our amazing property manager at High Point Commons - created this herself (!!), so we sat down with her to ask her a little more about it.
What prompted you to create the High Point Commons Activity Book?
Thanks to the help of several team members, we were able to build a Little Free Library next to the leasing office. I was so excited and inspired by our teamwork and the prospect of bringing readers together! So, we came up with an additional idea to create a book designed to capture our community’s beauty and encourage children to get outside and explore.
How did you decide what to include?
The book features several pages highlighting local critters that can and have been spotted at HPC. Then there are a few word games to play, and finally, some coloring pages. The last page encourages little readers to draw a picture of an animal they wished lived at HPC!
What do you hope will come from people using this book?
When designing it, I really wanted both children and adults to feel a sense of community and closeness from this book. I wanted the book to encourage neighbors to connect with each other, as well as staff members.
How can they get a copy?
Copies of the book can be found in the Little Free Library on our property, as well as in the office.
Is there anything else you’d like to add?
I just hope more people within the community learn about this little gem and take advantage of it!
We know you’ll love it as much as we do! Take a closer look at what this incredible community has to offer here.
